About Seek
Our theme is all about the thrill of discovery – “Seek.” Picture it as an open invitation to a journey filled with curiosity, where finding new ideas is like stumbling upon hidden treasures.
“Seek” isn’t just about chasing answers; it’s about falling in love with the whole process of asking questions, challenging what we think we know, and keeping that flame of curiosity burning so bright such that not only we get benefitted but the others who are in the shadows of knowledge may become a guiding light themselves. We believe in embracing the adventure of learning, growing, and staying open to fresh perspectives.
What is TED ?
TED is a non-profit organization committed to sharing and spreading impactful ideas. Originally conceived as a four-day gathering in California 30 years ago, TED has since expanded its mission through various programs. The two annual TED Conferences invite leading intellectuals and innovators to deliver talks lasting no more than 18 minutes.
Following these events, many talks are released freely on TED.com. Notable Indian personalities who have graced the TED stage include figures such as Raghuram Rajan, Kiran Bedi, Kailash Satyarthi, Anand Mahindra, Chetan Bhagat, and Shashi Tharoor. The yearly TED Conference now takes place in Vancouver, British Columbia.
TED’s media initiatives include TED.com, the platform where new TED Talks are shared daily, and TED Translators, a global effort to provide subtitles, interactive transcripts, and translations. TED’s educational arm, TED-Ed, offers a plethora of educational resources. Additionally, TED has launched The Audacious Project, a collaborative funding initiative aimed at supporting ideas with the potential for significant societal change. TEDx, another integral part of TED’s mission, empowers individuals or groups to organise local, independently organized TED-style events worldwide. Furthermore, the TED Fellows program assists remarkable innovators worldwide in extending the reach and impact of their projects and activities.
What is TEDx ?
TEDx serves as a platform for locally organized events where individuals congregate to partake in an experience reminiscent of TED talks. At these gatherings, attendees are treated to a blend of TED Talk videos and live presentations, igniting profound conversations and forging meaningful connections. These grassroots initiatives, collectively known as TEDx events, are distinguished by the ‘x’ signifying their independent organization. While the TED Conference offers overarching principles and support for the TEDx program, each event operates autonomously, reflecting the unique interests and priorities of its organizers.
